Monte Rio

This vacation home is situated in the Russian River area and was initially a roof remodel to remedy the leaking flat roof. The owner wanted to explore different options to design a new roof and settled on a gable roof with parallel dormers that add a vista point to let in natural light and accent the higher ceilings. The front deck was also adapted to match the length of the building. The kitchen was completely remodeled as well, adjusting the sink location to streamline the layout, favor the light, and frame the beautiful view. We also moved the water heater from the bathroom to where the furnace is downstairs to enlarge both bathrooms and upgrade the shower areas. Thanks to the new roof, the bedrooms now have lofty ceilings making the sleeping area feel more spacious.
