Case Study

Chico Ave

The homeowners were interested in creating a design for their home that fit their lifestyle better than the original layout. To account for the cooking and storage space needed in the kitchen, as well as upgrading their bathroom and living spaces, most of the house was gutted. We added 9’ to the front of the residence and another 6’ for the front porch. The result was a large kitchen, the laundry room got moved and is now accessible from the covered porch. Two small closets were removed to enlarge the primary bathroom, added a bigger closet in one of the bedrooms and made the other bedroom a private suite with a walk-in closet and a bathroom. The end result of this residential addition and remodel is a beautifully spacious kitchen that is highly functioning with lots of storage and polished plain concrete countertops. The living room is larger with more light and vinyl flooring so complementary that someone asked if it was the original wood floor.
